The option Calculate Checksum allows you to see the CRC64 checksum value for the drive connected to the Source port on the duplicator.
To Calculate the Checksum:
1. Power on the duplicator.
2. After the duplicator has fully booted, insert the USB drives that you are looking to calculate the checksum of to the Source port on the duplicator. Note: This drive must be connected to the Source port as no other port is read during this process.
3. From the Main Menu press the Up or Down buttons until you see Utilities.
4. When Utilities is displaying for you, press the ENT button to enter this menu.
5. You will be able to access the Utilities menu and from here you can use the Up or Down buttons to switch menu options.
6. After locating Calculate Checksum, press the ENT button to enter this option.
7. After a moment, your duplicator will state that it is calculating.
Based on the image above, here is the information that is displayed:
Calculating | This represents the the process that is occurring at this time. |
829M | This is the total amount of data that is on the drive. |
13s | This represents the amount of estimated time remaining for the process above to completed. |
47% | This represents the percentage completed so far on this process. |
8. When the calculation has been completed, you will see CRC64 = followed by the checksum value for the drive connected to the Source Port. Note: This value is not saved in the duplicator nor can it be connected to a printer to printout the checksum value.
9. After you reviewing the drives information you can press the ESC button which will bring you back to the Utilities menu.
10. To exit back to the Main Menu, process the ESC button once again.
