Password on Bootup allows you to restrict access to the duplicator and its functions. There are two options for Password on Bootup:
Yes | After the device completes its boot process, the user will be prompted to select the user name that they would like to use to gain access to the duplicator. If you choose an user other than the admin user, you are not able to gain access to Manage Accounts or Updater Firmware. |
No | This is the default setting. The device will boot and login automatically with you as the Admin user. |
To access Password on Bootup:
1. Power on the duplicator.
2. After the duplicator has fully booted and have logged into the duplicator as the admin (if Password on Bootup is enabled), from the Main Menu press the Up or Down buttons until you see Manage Accounts.
3. When Manage Accounts is displaying for you, press the ENT button to enter this menu. You will need to enter your password to gain access to this menu. Note: The default admin password is 0000.
4. Once the correct password has been entered, you will be able to access the Manage Accounts menu and from here you can use the Up or Down buttons to switch menu options.
5. After locating Password on Bootup, press the ENT button to enter this option.
6. When in the Password on Bootup option, use the Up or Down buttons to change the setting to your desired state. Press the ENT button to save the state and bring you back to the Manage Accounts menu.
7. To exit back to the Main Menu, press the ESC button once again.
If you enabled Password on Bootup, the next time you power on your duplicator you will be asked to select a user account.
If you are not logged into the duplicator as the Admin and attempt to gain access to Manage Accounts or Update Firmware, you will be shown a message informing you that you are not authorized to access this location.
