Write Error Skip allows you to configure the number of times the system will skip over sectors when it encounters a write error when copying to Target devices. By default, the duplicator will not skip ahead when it encounters any write errors, it will simply result in a duplication job failure. Note: This function does not fix errors; it will skip over the error and continue with copying the remaining data.
The Write Error Skip setting can be changed to one of four options:
Off | Write Error Skip is disabled. If the duplicator encounters an issue where a USB in the target port(s) is unable to be properly written to then an error will appear. Note: This is the default setting. |
10 Times | If the duplicator encounters an issue where a USB in the target port(s) is unable to be properly written to then the duplicator will attempt 10 times to move beyond that point and proceed with the process. If it is unable to proceed then an error will appear. |
100 Times | If the duplicator encounters an issue where a USB in the target port(s) is unable to be properly written to then the duplicator will attempt 100 times to move beyond that point and proceed with the process. If it is unable to proceed then an error will appear. |
Unlimited | If the duplicator encounters an issue where a USB in the target port(s) is unable to be properly written to then the duplicator will attempt to move beyond that point and proceed with the process. Note: If it is unable to proceed then no error will appear and you may remain at a specific percentage indefinitely. |
