Kanguru has enabled automatic live updates on Defender drives. The automatic live update feature ensures that the end user's Defender device is running the latest client version.
If you are experiencing any issues with updating your device using Live Update:
- Your Defender device may be running a client version older than 4.0.6.5, which may cause issues with downloading the update. To resolve this, you must manually update your device one time to the current client version: Defender Client Updates
It is highly recommended to backup your data before updating your device.
- If you receive an "Update available" notification but no update is downloaded after a long time, your network may have restrictions preventing downloads from the Kanguru CDN. Please provide the following URL whitelist to allow downloads:
- krmc.kanguru.com
- kcs.kanguru.com
- auth.api.rackspacecloud.com
- cdn2.clouddrive.com
