The Compare function is used to verify the accuracy of the data duplicated on your Target devices. The Compare process checks the data on the Target devices and compares it to the original data on the Source device.
If you are looking to Compare only the data that is copied over, it is recommended to utilize the Compare mode when Copy Mode is in Brief Copy. If you are looking to Compare then entire drive, it is recommended to utilize the Compare mode when Copy Mode is in Full Copy. Note: It is only recommended to use Full Compare if the Source drive and the Target drive(s) are the same capacity.
To perform a Compare:
1. Power on the duplicator.
2. After the duplicator has fully booted, insert the USB drive that you are looking to Compare the duplicates to into the Source port and insert your duplicated USB drive(s) into the Target port(s).
3. From the Main Menu press the Up or Down buttons until you see Compare.
4. When Compare is displaying for you, press the ENT button to enter this menu. Note: If you have Brief Copy selected this will appear as Compare (Brief). If you have Full Copy selected, this will appear as Compare (Full).
Note: If you have all the USB ports on the duplicator full, the duplicator will start the process automatically for you. If however you do not have a USB drive connected to every port you will see a message stating X Detect, Go? (x represents the drives detected) and will need to press ENT to continue.
5. After a moment, the Compare process will start.
6. When the process is completed, you will see a standard Pass/Fail prompt with a system of Remove All Devices.
7. When you remove the drive, you will then be prompted to press ENT to continue. At this point, if you have more drives that you would like to Compare to the Source drive, you can insert them into the Target ports and press ENT to run the process once again. If at this time you do not wish to run the process again, you can press ESC which will bring you back to the Main Menu.
