LightScribe software is not running or is not detecting the QS2 DVDRW drive
If your QS2 DVDRW drive is operating correctly but the LightScribe software is not, it is likely that the problem is not being caused by the hardware, but by the software.
The first thing you will want to try is uninstalling/reinstalling your LightScribe software.If this does not resolve your issue you will want to update your version of LightScribe to the latest version.

If you have updated your LightScribe version to the latest version, you can download and run the LightScribe Diagnostic Utility that automatically fixes some known issues.

If neither of the previous solutions resolved the issue, there may be some conflict between the LightScribe software and another application on your system. You can try one of the following solutions if your LightScribe burning software is not recognizing your QS2 DVDRW drive, or if you are receiving the following error message when running the LightScribe software, "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
- Update Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 with Service Pack 1
- Update Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time library
- Clean the Registry
