Hard Drive Tower Duplicator - Setup Menu - HPA Check

The Host Protected Area (HPA), sometimes referred to as the Hidden Protected Area, is a partition on the hard drive that is not normally visible to an operating system.

The options for the HPA Check are as follows:

Disabled	The system will not check for HPA partitions. Drives that contain HPA may not duplicate successfully.
Enabled	When HPA CHECK is enabled the duplicator will support Host Protection Areas. When you duplicate a Source HDD that contains HPA, the system will detect the HPA partition, unlock it, copy the area and then re-lock the area once duplication is complete. Note: This is the Default setting.

To change the HPA Check setting:

1. Power on the duplicator.
2. From the Main Copy Menu press the Up or Down buttons until you see Setup.
3. When Setup is displaying for you, press the ENT button to enter this menu.
4. You will be able to access the Setup menu and from here you can use the Up or Down buttons to switch menu options.
5. After locating HPA Check, press the ENT button to alter this option.
6. Press the ESC button after selecting the desired setting to proceed back to the Main Menu.
