Overview
Kanguru is pleased to announce that starting on July 21, 2015 Defender secure USB storage devices will have the ability to enable self-service password management functionality. When self-service password management functionality is enabled, you have to designate an email address that can be used to reset your Defender’s login password. If at any time you forget your Defender’s login password, all you need to do is click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button at the login screen and a special password reset code will be sent to the email address that you designated earlier. Then simply enter the password reset code and you will be able to setup a new login password and access your data again.
Licensing
Self-service password management is available as a free feature for KRMC Cloud customers. There are no additional licenses to purchase to enable self-service password management for your KRMC Cloud managed devices. KRMC Cloud administrators can start taking advantage of the self-service password management feature immediately on any supported Defender drives.
KRMC Enterprise customers will need to purchase additional licenses to activate the self-service password management feature on their supported Defender drives.
Individual, unmanaged drive users will need to purchase a license to enable the self-service password management feature on their supported Defender drives.
Customers can choose to purchase either a 1-year or a 2-year self-service password management license.
