SSD slow after OS install

I've installed my Kanguru SSD into my computer and installed an operating system on it. The drive is performing slower than expected. How do I get the best performance from my Kanguru SSD?

If your SSD is not performing up to spec, please check the following:

- Make sure that the SATA port on the motherboard the SSD is connected to is a SATAII 3Gbps port and not a SATAI 1.5Gbps port. If you are connected through a SATA I 1.5Gbps port, then you won't get the full performance out of your SSD.

- Make sure that AHCI is enabled in the system BIOS. If the hard drive is set in IDE compatibility mode then you won't get the full performance out of your SSD.
