Using your SD Card with the Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii allows you to save game progress and other data to an SD card. The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less in capacity. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will most likely not work with the Wii console.
To write to an SD Card, the Wii console requires a downloaded update. Please note, you can still transfer data off an SD card for use in the Photo Channel. This allows you to view your images, movies, and listen to mp3 files without the update. The update is only necessary if you are going to be writing to the SD card. You will need to connect your Wii to the internet in order to download the update.
